Town of Hiles Board Meeting
Tuesday, December 6, 2011
Hiles Town Hall
Chairman Trent Miner called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm.
Present were: Chairman Trent Miner, Supervisor Mark Gudel, Treasurer Kimberly Miner, and Clerk Janice Schultz.
The minutes of the Tuesday, November 8, 2011, Hiles Town Board meeting were presented. Moved by Supervisor Gudel and seconded by Chairman Miner to approve the minutes as presented. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was presented and is attached. Moved by Supervisor Gudel and seconded by Chairman Miner to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Chairman Miner made a motion to amend the 2011 budget to fund expenses not anticipated during the budget process by moving a total of $550 from Roads with $350 going to Sanitation, $100 going to Public Safety, and $100 going to Donations. Seconded by Supervisor Gudel. Motion carried.
Motion made by Supervisor Gudel to approve the appointment of the following election inspectors for the 2012 Elections: Emma Huber, Amy Miner, & Trent Miner as Chief Inspectors and Katie Potter & Ashlie Potter as Election Inspectors. Seconded by Chairman Miner. Motion carried.
Correspondence
• Christmas card received from John Cepress Trucking.
• Reviewed election training. County Clerk Cindy Cepress provided election training on December 1 at the Pittsville Community Center. Trent Miner, Janice Schultz, Emma Huber, and Amy Miner attended the 3-hour training. Due to all the current changes and those still coming in, it will be necessary to provide additional training at the Town Hall for all election inspectors.
• Received information from the Wisconsin Towns Association of upcoming District Meetings which will include Board of Review Training (recertification required every 2 years). Chairman Miner and Clerk Schultz will be attending the meeting in Marshfield on March 3.
• Received inquiry from Central States Tower II, LLC on zoning ordinances pertaining to the proposed cell phone tower to be placed on the Gary Pulvermacher property in the Town of Hiles. Chairman Miner replied that there are no zoning ordinances. Copy of e-mailed reply placed on file.
• Received acknowledgement of donation to Pittsville Historical Society from Marlene Neve
• Received acknowledgement of donation to Clark County Humane Society.
• County Clerk Cepress will have training for Special Registration Deputies on Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. at Town of Wood Hall. Town Clerks must be present to administer Oaths of Office.
• Notified by Department of Natural Resources that effective January 2, 2012, property owned by Lonny L Jepsen, Pamela K Pralle and Kenneth Lessig/Daniel Konietzki/Gary Lessig/William Lessig will be designated Managed Forest Law (MFL) land.
• Wood County Planning & Zoning has granted a Sanitary Permit to James M Larson on Lot #1 County Road E and Ivy Dow Road
. Clerk received notification of State of Wisconsin Wind Siting Rules Update and forwarded information to Board Chairman.
• Clerk posted online the estimated Town of Hiles cost of a 2012 statewide recall election as requested by the GAB for the Legislature.
. Received Department of Revenue check on liquor licenses issued. Reported that the Town does not issue any licenses.
The next Town meeting will be Monday, January 9, 2012.
The bills were presented for payment. Moved by Supervisor Gudel and seconded by Chairman Miner to make all payments as presented. Motion carried.
Motion made by Supervisor Gudel and seconded by Chairman Miner to adjourn. Motion carried.
Chairman Miner adjourned the meeting at 7:20 p.m.
