July 1, 2010 Board of Review Meeting following Open Book

Board of Review Meeting
Thursday, July 1, 2010
Meeting called to order at 6:00 p.m.
Present: Chairman Trent Miner, Supervisors Tom Gardner and Steve Meis, Clerk Janice Schultz, Assessor Gerald Wegner.
First order of business was to elect a chairman. Jan Schultz nominated Trent Miner. There were no additional nominations. Steve Meis made a motion to cast a unanimous ballot electing Miner as Chairman. Seconded by Schultz. Motion carried.
Trent Miner and Jan Schultz are certified Board of Review members (2010-2012)
No objection forms were received. The 48-hour requirement was waved. There were no walk ins objecting to any assessments.
The Assessment Roll was reviewed by the members present. Wegner reported the following:
New Construction Residential $261,000
New Construction Commercial $75,050
Loss in Residential $147,350
Loss in Land Value due to pulpwood cutting $4,250
Loss of 65 acres to Managed Forest $98,400
Last Year’s Total Evaluation $19,855,000
This Year’s Total Evaluation $19,992,900
Moved by Gardner to adjourn. Seconded by Meis. Motion carried.
Chairman Miner adjourned Board of Review Meeting at 8:00 p.m.
