Hiles Town Board Meeting
November 12, 2009
Hiles Town Hall
Meeting called to order by Chairman Trent Miner at 6:35 pm.
Members present: Chairman Trent Miner, Supervisors Steve Meis and Tom Gardner, Treasurer Kimberly Miner, Clerk Jan Schultz
The minutes of the October 12 meeting were read. Moved by Gardner and seconded by Meis to approve as presented. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was presented and is attached. Moved by Meis and seconded by Gardner to approve as presented. Motion carried.
Budget:
• Adopt 2010 Budget based on levy allowed by electors. Motion by Supervisor Gardner and seconded by Supervisor Meis. Motion carried. Clerk directed to send Tax Rate form to County Treasurer. Copy placed on file.
Certified School Tax Levies
Mid-State $35,179.34
Pittsville $222,694.14
Roads:
• Berry Road construction update. Successfully qualified for TRIP funding and was granted $24,938.48 of the $32,575 applied for.
• Hay Creek Road construction update. Work completed.
• Review Road rating submission. Chairman Miner sent in. There were no major changes. Hoffman Road up a bit and Wallace down a bit.
Adoption of ordinance exempting Treasurer from Tax Collector’s bond. Motion made by Supervisor Meis and seconded by Supervisor Gardner. Motion carried. Copy placed on file.
Discussion of possible town website followed. The Board directed that we move forward.

• Sanitary Permit for Donald Sojka. Copy placed on file.
• Thank you from Pittsville Community Library read.
Correspondence:
"Green Revolution" Northern Seminars from Harnisch, WTA Education Director. No one will be attending. Information placed on file.
McMiller property into Managed Forest Law--needs checking for any errors. Check completed and placed on file.
Receipt and thank you from Pittsville area Historical Society read. Placed on file.
Thank you from Clark County Humane Society read. Placed on file
Excerpt from ATCs 10-year Transmission System Assessment presented. No action required. Placed on file.
Wood County Clerk - demonstration of precinct counter Nov 17 at Courthouse from 3 to 6 pm—no one will be attending as Town of Hiles will not be purchasing a precinct counter.
H1N1 and Election procedure was presented. Placed on file to be reviewed as needed.
The bills were presented for payment. Moved by Supervisor Gardner and seconded by Supervisor Meis to pay all bills presented. Motion carried.
The next meeting will be held on Monday, December 7, at 6:30 p.m.
Motion made by Supervisor Meis and seconded by Supervisor Gardner to adjourn. Motion carried.
Chairman Miner adjourned the meeting at 7:15 pm.
